it doesnt remember pain
or love or anything really.
it remembers facts:
over 5 million dragons died.
fact.
of all the dragons on sornieth
only 100,000 survived.
fact.
people like facts.
they are predictable.
easy.

the organization of arcane energy
gather within the small room.
they beg the exalted mother.

they believe she can bring back the arcanist.

I stand alone
Cold feet on cold stone
With nothingness in my heart.
I wish to go home
To lands I once roamed
But I don't know where I can start.
I stand there for
A very long while
Many thoughts come,
But they never stay.
Nothing has meaning
As long as I'm here
And I do not know
If I can leave it
This place you think you love
But that I would hate
If I could feel again.
I don't know what's wrong and what's right
But if I could see between darkness and light
I'd choose the opposite of this.
I lost someone close to me
Their face is slipping, but I still barely see
It's myself I miss.
You say it'll be over soon but I know
That nothing stops time and nothing's my home
I'll never get back to my heart

Yeah, I'm still here! I've been waiting to hear back from more of my judges but it looks like I'll have to just use the ones who've replied and draft a couple RL friends to help me make the judging as fair as possible. I'm sorry it's been so long, and I'll try to get at least the first day's results posted by this weekend!
