Oooohhh space! Love a good theme! I'm getting an idea with kind of a milky way looking nebula thing going on, if that makes any sense. Lol
I'll look into free use futuristic, outer space TV show kinda fonts and see what you think. Making it metallic looking and shiny is no problem. Just gotta be careful on the badges, as small text that's too fancy can become illegible.
You can absolutely have badges and even the banner with no refined border if you want! I have a good idea brewing for this too.

If using a more simple font would make the buttons look more legible, then go ahead and use that instead, whatever you think would look best.
