Checkers definitely needed another outing IMO, even if it isn't exciting it's only on undertides afaik before now afaik. As for Laced and Orb, I do agree that they're on a ton of breeds rn and probably didn't need too many more.
I don't think FR does gene releases based around popularity. Which is a good thing imo, as a Crackle stan
anyways I'm kinda disappointed they're missing malachite/chrysocolla. Would have been a great fit. I'm not a big fan overall (I like my dragons like I like my men, Not Bald) but not every breed is for every person and that's cool.
antlers is a lovely gene and I'd love to see it on some other ancients too!
