I was so excited for the idea of elemental themed tertiaries and these are so underwhelming and severely lacking of any sort of identity... some tiny fins and some sparkles is all we could come up with? Im pretty disappointed...

Probably because then they'd need to be making genes for 6 (soon to be more) breeds every month for an entire year. That's quite a big workload.

it does seem pretty limiting, especially considering that some elements don't even HAVE an Ancient yet. I'm tentatively predicting that each year following this one, they'll add Ancients to the "genepool".
so next year's Brightshine, we might get a Brightshine tert for say, Banescales and Gaolers, and so on and so forth until all the Ancients have it.
even if we only got say, one new Ancient added to each holiday gene a year, I'd be happy with it as long as they were all included at some point.

We don't know if they'll keep doing the Terts though next year, that's the thing.
While I 100% understand that making 6+ versions of a tert would be more difficult, especially on a monthly basis, I also think that with how simple the Brightshine tert is it wouldn't be [i]as[/i] difficult as say doing one like Sailfin, Wraith or Space would be.
I'm not disappointed in the Genes themselves (they weren't what I was expecting but then again can we really predict the stuff we get?) I'm just sad I can't get it for my Aethers.
