Biography
Fidelia Ainsworth || Pirate Queen
Just from a glance; she's nothing more than a lazy, selfish dragon. Almost painfully free-spirited, Fidelia does whatever she pleases. Her loyalties lie with no one, and yet she's not a dragon that will double-cross you. Truly a bizarre creature, her nature is as spontaneous as the open sea.
And yet, she is probably the most important dragon within the Keep. Not because of authority, financial aid, some strategic asset or what have you. She is important because she was the backbone that let the Keeps' foundation happen in the first place. The one that kept morale of Thamnos and his exiled clan above miserable, the one that negotiated with Vista to give the Keep's pathetic looking location a try, and the one who regularly brought new dragons to the clan better than afterwards established bards ever did. And yet, in terms of actually doing things, she did very little. It was her simpleminded attitude and free spirit that had a conversation with many a dragon, and nothing more. But such, in a way, naive worldviews are contagious.
The perspective of someone who doesn't understand the misery of the common man. Someone who simply does, and things eventually work out.
She doesn't linger on unfortunes, she doesn't waste time talking about hers, or anyone's problems. She makes do of what life throws at her. She sees everyone as equals, as friends. But she's not pushy or clingy with her friendship. If you'll attack her, she'll attack back. She may steal your gold, and you may steal hers. Although she is a friend to many, she isn't exactly the sort of dragon you can have a heart to heart with. Frankly speaking, she doesn't care, and she will be nonchalant about it. She'll suggest a relaxing nap in the sun, or having a drink at the tavern. If you'll insist on crying about feeling miserable, she'll simply leave. She won't be there for you emotionally unless you're willing to go along with her 'feel better' tactics, and although she's not a particularly kind dragon - she isn't a naturally malicious one either.
Her own reasons for staying are nothing more than "it's convenient". Vista expects nothing from her, and although she doesn't fully understand her nature; Vista holds a whole lot of respect for Fidelia. She can go wherever she wants, she can do whatever she wants. Sometimes Fidelia disappears for a while, and sometimes she's catnapping somewhere at the Keep. By all means, she's but a stray cat.
