Canela

Canela grew up. That was all there was to it. She remembered nothing about her hatchling days and her brothers and sisters--if she had any at all--although she often found her mother proudly strutting about with her new mate. What was her father like? Was he in love with her mother at all? Probably not the other way around, though. Canela knew that she must have taken a bigger resemblance to her father, because she simply could not stand her snobbish attitude and often found herself flying away to avoid the Dragon altogether. She flew a little farther every time, until one day her lair became as small as an anthill.

Love was fleeting. So she followed suit.
