Amber

While Snappers live their lives perpetually on the move, exploring and archiving all they can about the world at large, Amber has simply grown too old to continue her nomadic lifestyle. One day, her old bones decided they weren't going to complete the day's trek - and unfortunately for her, this happened to occur in Rotrock Rim, one of the most dangerous places in Sornieth.

She'd resigned herself to either catching one of the many lethal plagues she knew of, or becoming lunch for a gaggle of Mirrors - but when Mirrors eventually found her, they instead pushed-slash-dragged her a few miles to their sheltered home, saying nothing along the way. Not the best company, admittedly, but while she'll never understand Mirrors and their perpetual silence, she is grateful for them taking her to a healer, and counts them among her friends. Here, the elderly Snapper lives out her retirement in peace, sharing her wisdom with younger dragons and telling stories to the hatchlings. The land isn't much to her liking, but the company is surprisingly varied, and she doesn't have it in her to take the long trek back to Dragonhome.
