Biography

The model designated as AURUS is a true marvel - a wonder of Lightning engineering and flame-forged smoke, an engine that lives and moves (if not breathes.) Stark created them as a curiosity, but abandoned the project when AURUS failed to show true intelligence, despite their sophistication in other areas.

They were promptly requisitioned from the back of his workshop not long after, when a particularly harsh winter began to set in. At full power, this golem's outflow valves are hot enough to melt steel; it turns out the second lowest setting is much more useful, where chilly dragons can crowd around and enjoy smoky warmth on a desert night without wasting precious firewood. Hotter days see AURUS sent out on patrol, where designated threatening life forms are frightened off with gushing soot and fire.

They can be used for cooking purposes, but AURUS has yet to fire a pizza that doesn't come out terribly burnt. One of the secondary mechanics is working on that.
