Poet and lyricist, Flute's affinity of the written word has found him a home in Starshine.

Having grown up on the warm coastal shore of the Water Kingdom, he'd grown used to the soft sands and gentle breezes rustling his feathers. Life was simple, back home in his tiny bungalow. He'd watch the sun rise, watch it set, paint pictures with words onto the canvas of an empty page. Whimsy, fantasy and magic woven through vowels, letters, punctuation.

His worlds would be burned into his pupils, their forest, city and sea etched into his genetic makeup. Flute let it out to keep himself from overflowing, let it out the only way he knew how. Days would bleed together under the burning candle light as the quill danced along parchment in a rhythm, a tune. And the flourish to an archway letter rang in his ears like a great bell. And only when the inkwell ran dry would Flute still, let the feather fall from his grasp to remember to eat, to sleep, to realize the world outside the paper-strewn walls had meaning, too.
