"Never second best!"

Hawthorne comes from the lands where the wind always blows. Leaving his home behind as a young hatchling to find new lands, to beccome stronger and to perfect his own abilities, and find his place in this world. Learning at a young age to use his wind magic to defend himself, creating tornadoes and strong gusts of wind, he traveled the lands.

It was when he got wounded on his travels, and found by Bevan and Dulais that he was taken in by the Moryvan clan, in the Wispwillow Grove. Hesistant to stay at first, Hawthorne showed a cold attitude, especially towards Bevan, who he deemed lower and weaker than him, and refused to talk to anyone. His pride, more often than not, often gets to him, causing him to endanger himself within fights with clan enemies or even other dragons. But as he says himself, he is never second best.

Unsociable, he prefers to keep things to himself and not talk much. He got a prideful attitude, seeing himself as better than most dragons. Bevan has scolded him several times for this, but he doesn't listen, raising his nose and ignoring her. Unlike most of the clan, he doesn't see her as a mother figure, but more as a meddling nuisance. He does have a good and strong bond with both Mory and Carys, and only truly listens to them.

His rather calculating and collected nature have earned him the job as treasurer at the clan, keeping close watch over the clan's treasure and gems, as well as the clan's vault and hoard. He takes a lot of pride in his job, and the others have to admit, nobody does it better than him.
