The Matriarch; undisputed and unchallenged. A ruthless Mirror driven by the ideals of her deity. Where words fail, her talons come out, and she has shown her strength many times over. Without her there would be no order. No unison. No Archaic. She does not falter or hesitate in her decisions, not even for a moment. Aided by her conclave she decides over the fate of the clan, listening to the conclave's decisions but holding the right to veto. Her relatively small size does not stand in the way of her leadership, and she has no issue with putting disobedient dragons in their place, even if they tower well above her. What outsiders may observe as cruelty, she only knows as fairness; loyalty is to be rewarded, treachery is to be punished severely. Throughout the clan she is known only as the Matriarch, her real name reserved solely for those trusted few.

She guides the clan under a vision reminiscent of the Third Age, where growth and decay were in a constant struggle. Survival and strength are key elements to the element of Plague. Ancient concepts on which Archaic was founded and given its name. Zayeva herself is utterly devoted to the Plaguemother demanding the same level of devotion from those who enter her clan. She stands at the very top of the ranking and influences the clergy, the very group responsible for appeasing the Plaguemother through exaltation ceremonies and spreading Her word. Under Zayeva's counsel the group spreads the doctrine established to suit the clan and their deity, making sure the clan forms a unified front of beliefs.

The numerous battles she's fought when the clan was still small left her scarred, but she treats injuries like trophies, telling stories of her victories to new life in the clan. Despite her aggression she holds her clan dear. She has an exceptional fondness of new hatchlings, spending time with them whenever she can. It is comforting to her to know that these hatchlings will be taught the ideals of the clan, for them to grow under her protection. Zayeva's own origins lie buried under rumours and tales. It is said that she was never hatched, but created instead. Birthed from the very essence of Plague. Others say that she was the sole survivor of her original clan, fuelled by the screams of the dying, driven to survive in the harshest of conditions. Zayeva dismisses these rumours. Her origins are unclear even to her, nothing but a blur where memories once were. In the end she cares not for her past. Her task keeps her too focused to dwell on lost memories.
