Virgil was one of the earliest members of the clan. Hunter found him as an egg and raised him alongside her son Diggs and Diggs' mate, Ana. Virgil has always kept to himself, sticking to the deep forest. He does not see himself as Hunter's son, but he does feel a deep, binding responsibility to her and the clan she created. He prowls the forest silently aiding Hunter in her work, rarely seen but always watching. If there's any danger, he's the first to see it. Although it's hard to tell, so seldom do the two speak to on another, he is especially devoted to Diggs - when the guardian was attacked by beastclans, he was the one to come to his rescue. Privately, Diggs considers him a brother, albeit a weird, distant one.

The only dragon with whom Virgil regularly, openly spends time is his mate, Spearmint. No one is quite sure how Spearmint managed to woo this most unapproachable of dragons, but it was a relief when he did. Spearmint is somewhat inscrutable himself, but at least he's not impossible to find and will talk to others if approached. If anyone in the clan needs to talk to Virgil, Spearmint can deliver a message or, in drastic cases, even convince him to emerge from the shadows.
