Toby

Toby is a young and energetic drake, often not acting....or looking his true age. Toby was stricken at a young age with an odd condition that was quickly discovered when he stopped growing. This concerned many of the dragons in the clan, seeing as how he was taken in when given as a gift and a sign of friendship to another clan.

Despite the concerns and the fact that Toby stopped aging, he continues to be quite healthy, energetic, and enthusiastic about learning. Though he is older than many of the other dragons in the clan, he is still treated as a hatchling by most. This treatment has made him eager to prove himself but slightly short tempered and defensive about his stature. In wishing to prove himself, he has often found himself in trouble, trying to prove that he could do exactly what the "grown-up" dragons could do. It wasn't until he met Thana, that things began to look up for little Toby.

What started out with uncertainty, quickly grew into full out love for what he was learning. He even went as far to job about his own colors, saying that 'It's only natural that I become an artist, I already look like I've been rolling around in the paint!'. With this, a giggle is usually heard from his teacher and the lesson continues. His respect for and loyalty to her runs deep, for she was the first to treat him as a grown drake and not of a hatchling. He listens to her dutifully and strives to become a better artist and join her in her own ranks someday. Till then, he is always by her side, paintbrush in his mouth and satchel at his side, ready for his next colorful project.
