Biography

Not every story begins with a happy tale. Certainly Obee's did not.

Long before Obee came to Cryptomeria's lair, he had seen some very rough times. With his right eyes injured severely in a hunt, his former pack left him for dead, seeing him as a useless burden. He tried to follow them for a while, but was eventually chased off and injured even further. During a hunting trip of their own, Cryptomeria and Ihimaera stumbled across Obee and helped the sick dragon back to the lair where he was nursed back to health by the healer Agrius.

Even with the care and nurturing of the new lair, it took quite a long time for Obee to recover from his injuries. He eventually began to run with Cryptomeria and Ihimaera on their hunting expeditions and eventually became the lair's second lieutenant. Unfortunately, he holds a deep resentment towards other mirror dragons and will eventually chase them out of the lair. Despite repeated overtures from Cryptomeria and Sceadwe, he refuses to change his mind on the matter, and they eventually conceded.

Alone and growing more and more reclusive in the lair, it was feared that Obee would be unable or unwilling to form a bond with any other dragon or heal his damaged psyche. Several months after his arrival though, he stumbled across a young spiral named Weaver, who had been captured by thieves to be sold on the black market. After running them off, he thought to simply allow her to move on her way. Much to his dismay, however, she followed him back to the lair, and after time, her gentle energy and complete trust in him finally thawed his reserves.

Though they remain unpledged officially, it is common knowledge within the lair that they are lifemates and completely devoted to one another.
