It is common knowledge that LingShan can draw power from nature, both dark and light. Her connection to the natural spirits are what rose her to prominence in the territory and she now assists TaiZong in his palace.

LingShan's heart is not evil. She sees promise in the four territories in terms of peace, as long as the emperors' secrets stay secret. Her side of her venture with TianYang is pure and loving, as she believes that the general is a harbinger of continued peace and that TianYang can harness her spiritual powers for the good of the territory.

She is constantly free-roaming between the territories, with the intention of learning and honing her connection with the spirits. In her journeys, she became infatuated with HuoHua's grace and strength of heart.
