 MAPOFTHEWORLD "sans peur et sans reproche" MapoftheWorld, the Silver Warrior, is a grim and dangerous fighter. Though he is the grandson of the mighty King Emerald, and son of the Crown Prince DropOfGold, he has won his own fame within the Clan due to his terrible ferocity and unmatched courage. Born small and weak, Map was bullied relentlessly by the other hatchlings of the clan despite his royal blood. One day, three other hatchlings cornered him out of sight of their elders, and commenced clawing him. Although their small claws could do little actual damage, Map panicked and picked up a stick in his claws, brandishing it in frightened rage, striking out so fiercely that the other hatchlings fled squealing. That day he learned that a weapon could accomplish things that mere claws and teeth could not. It was a lesson he would never forget. Map once heard the story of a dragon named Lancelot, a warrior without peer and beyond reproach, and he models himself after that legend. He keeps his silver armor free of tarnish, almost obsessively. His sword is the famed Valkyrie blade, which gleams just as brilliantly as his armor does. His responsibility is to feed and protect the Clan, and he carries out his mission with a cold, steely determination that sends his enemies scurrying for cover. |

Though he has numerous children, Map never found a true mate until recently. He felt no real need for one, and was content to spend his few rare hours of leisure in teaching hatchlings to defend themselves. He takes on a few of the most promising as his special students, such as his nieces, the Blue Lady and the Gold Lady, who were both taught by him to battle from an early age. Despite his ferocious aspect, his emphasis when teaching is on chivalry and kindness, and he encourages the hatchlings in his care to never, ever bully the weak, small, or helpless. But when he encountered Tide, a fierce warrior, he realized he had at last found his true mate.  |
