Nacarat was built by the Division's previous chief alchemist as a side project (one that recieved no official company funding). What holds him together at the seams is a combination of dangerous alchemic science, several unstable elements and transmutagens, and a little dash of ancient arcane knowledge.

The dragon that made him was killed in a laboratory accident- a fellow Skydancer named Threnody. He looked up to Threnody as both a paternal figure and as a great mentor and they worked together in the Division for many years.
