Malachite is best described as a mountain. Giant, steady, immovable. He might be a little slow on the uptake sometimes (sarcasm? You’ll wait forever on him to process that one) but few things pass him by unnoticed. He's big and broody but his eyes are always open and he has the most uncanny ability to just know everything going on, your intentions and your deepest, darkest secret

He serves in the clan as a guard and warrior. The golden hoards of the clan’s are his to protect - helped by his two coworkers and best friends, Goldstripe and Cayenne. He’s the oldest of the trio and he’s the one with the most serious approach to his job.

He sees it as a great honor that he’s been chosen to fill this position. He wandered long, alone and in shadow, before he came to this place and though he won’t admit it, the fear of abandonment and loneliness weighs heavy on him.
 		So this? That he fulfills a purpose and that he’s slotting into a community that couldn’t thrive as well as it does without him? That’s one of the best things in his life. He will utterly destroy anyone or anything trying to harm his treasure.

Sometimes, this protective instinct extends to his clanmates as well, he will be the first to try and fight any outside threats (this combined with his inability to understand sarcasm and ‘insult humor’ has led to him slamming poor, unsuspecting strangers into the ground and threatening to do unspeakable things over a dumb joke more than once).

And at this, at fighting and protecting, fiercer than most could ever dream to do, at this he is amazing. It’s the only matter in which Malachite is anything but slow.
