Nyytlyric was born in a Nature lair but knew immediately that she wasn't comfortable in the daylight and lush greenery. Being a rebel, she took off to explore the world. She flew in to the Tangled Woods and deliberately dove into the pool at the Forum of the Obscured Crescent. When she emerged, she had transformed from her snakelike shape to that of a Nocturne.

A Manticore Screamer named Tenor witnessed the transformation and asked to travel with her. When they reached an area of glowing mushrooms, they stopped for a moment. Lyric played for a bit on her flute that her mother Unicorn had given her as a going away present, accompanied by the odd keening sounds of her familiar.

A lovely Tundra female landed near them and encouraged them to continue the music. They sang and played for their audience of one then, when she asked if they needed a lair to call home, followed her to Moonlit Nyyt Weyr in the lands of Emberglo. They were struck by the friendly welcome and the diversity of the lair and decided to stay. She will join the musicians of the weyr. Tenor happily moved into the familiar pool. Nyytlyric adopted an Imquisitive Shroud who she wears as others would wear a piece of apparel, say a cape, for example..
