Aroura
"Nothing is ever black and white" |
 A daughter of both Rahziel's and Thranduil's clan, Aurara was seen as a blessing. From parents both brilliantly colored, her pure white feathers were like a omen of good upon the clan. Growing up, her moral compass was always strong, as was her desire to fight for what she believed in. But because of the stigma around her and the blessing she was, the clan never allowed her to learn how to fight. So instead, she took up her battles with words, securing a place in the upper circle of Rahziel's clan. Things changed for Aroura when a livid and angry Rahziel dragged in a chained and beaten skydancer of similar color and size to her. Meeting his eyes in passing, she couldn't help but follow behind the two. There was something in the yellow eyes of her leaders prisoner that sparked something within her. Learning that the prisoner, Harry, had defended the dragon that killed Rahz's son, Aroura was torn, unsure of how to feel. Because what she saw in those eyes was not entirely evil, as everyone liked to believe. It was only when she realized that Rahziel had began torturing the dark general for information did Aroura intervene. Thankfully, a small fray outside of the lair made her job easier, drawing her leaders attention and giving her time to free the disoriented prisoner from his chains. She had indeed helped him but not before Rahz had managed to cut his antenna from his head. After his escape and the disagreements that followed, Aroura managed to get off lightly. In the weeks that followed, she met Harry again and the two found something in one another. For Harry it was a light and goodness that he was lacking, for Aroura's purity chased some of the darkness from his soul. For Aroura it was a strength and devotion that the rest of the clan would never give her. It was Harry that taught her to fight, giving her the sword that she still brandishes and the skills to go with it. To her Mate, Harry: The Civil Wars - Devil's Backbone
