Biography
HOLDING FOR FAILEAS WHILE SHE MAKES ROOM

Lamplight
The twilight beckons. Dusk is less unreservedly fond of the Trickmurk Circus than she is of the Night of the Nocturne. Nevertheless, she has been glad of the chance to slip away to festivities. |

Dusk is a snappish, direct dragon who serves as the clan's assistant architect and primary alchemist. While her primary role in architecture has been laying roofs, she has been tasked more frequently with building catwalks of late, a task which she finds artless and aggravating. She has been increasingly drawn to the dusklight branch of alchemy—a study of magic that seems almost tailored for her, a Light dragon with Shadow colors and a Shadow breed. Often sarcastic or irritable, Dusk is not popular with most of the clan. She is Yskerryth's closest friend and confidant, and one of the few to genuinely like the abrasive ridgeback, spending time between tasks perched on his shoulder. Physical description Dusk is an extremely average nocturne in overall size and proportions. Her dark hide is unusually smooth, lacking many of the smaller knobs and wrinkles typical of her kind, and her wings have an almost canvas-like texture. She is competent at moving on the ground, where she walks on fore- and hind-feet, but will take to the air at a moment's notice. When running or jumping, she will use a more typically nocturne wing-and-hindfoot stride. Combat Dusk strikes fast and hard, relying on overwhelming her opponent before they can strike back. She can withstand few direct blows, but her agility is usually sufficient to allow her to jump away again if cornered. |

Origin Dusk was sent from another clan shortly after the first Night of the Nocturne, an unremarkable green-and-pink fledgeling within a flock of other young nocturnes. Shortly after her arrival, however, she underwent a spontaneous shift into the colors of Shadow, perhaps due to the energies in Fire territory. Much to the rest of the clan's dismay, Dusk chose to mimic the irritable architect of the clan, Yskerryth; in time, she became his closest friend and confidant, as well as assisting him in constructing the clan's buildings. Dusk fell behind during the trials and was captured by slavers. After a failed rescue attempt by Yskerryth and Plaguewinds, she was taken out of the open market for training as a house slave and privateer. During the Solstice, the infusion of energy allowed Dusk to make a bid for freedom. Afterward, she dwelled for seven seasons in a small cave in the canyonlands, too uncertain to make a bid for the clan. Dusk seems to have a few memories from before the official awakening of the nocturnes, a hazy image of an illuminated city, leading a few to suspect that she served as a spy of some and was called to return to the shell. |

Kin Dusk's blood kin are unknown, as she was found as an egg during the first Night of the Nocturne. Her closest thing to family is Yskerryth, and she has mimicked many of his traits. |
