  Hawk was originally an Intern for the Stormchaser to be a communication engineer. He was actually quite good at it but always knew his days in his training facility was limited before he’d go serve directly under the Boss. That was before Nadalin decided Windshear would buy out his contract and bring him to the Caravan, to work for them instead.

  Originally serving under Lucy Hawk keeps tabs on all members of the Caravan’s guard and is chief communications officer for the entire clan. This means he also runs communications between the other ships of the Caravan. From his time in the Shifting Expanse Hawk has a great amount of knowledge of electrical technology and uses that to set up his communication network so ships of the Caravan can interact remotely, reducing the need for flying messenger dragons between the ships.

  The irony is not lost on a majority of the guard that the Chief Intelligence/Communication Officer is a fae, of which few of the guard can actually understand and who doesn’t speak common draconic particularly well.
