Onlil

Temperamental and unforgiving, Onlil left her Fire home in search of her charge, with slight hope that finding one would ease the constant fury in her throat. She has circled the world several times in this search. As she passed from the Scarred Wasteland into the Tangled Wood, she heard the distressed calls of a dragon far below; Onlil seized the extra opportunity at finding a charge and dove.
She found a dazed green Imperial protecting an injured fungalhoof qiriq. The Imperial Karsenl and her mate Sorkrun had traveled from the bright Wind territory, and landed to rest after flying over the Sea. However, some creature decided at that time to attack her familiar, and Sorkrun, a visually adapted Nocturne, gave chase. He had not returned in quite some time, and Karsenl began to panic in the overwhelming darkness.
Onlil felt no special urge to protect them, but she vowed to do so until the mates were reunited. For a day, the trio trekked in the direction the mark of Sorkrun's takeoff had indicated, with Onlil carrying Karsenl's qiriq on her back. Eventually one of Karsenl's roars was answered, and they found the small Nocturne cornering a darker, limping qiriq. As Karsenl prepared to leap at the beast, the urge kicked in; Onlil placed the fungalhoof on the ground and dove in front of the agitated pair. She surrounded the umberhorn qiriq and lowered her head, staring at the beast until it seemed less unsettled. She urged the Wind dragons to leave her, as she had to earn the trust of her charge.

For nearly a week, Onlil nursed the umberhorn to health by bringing food and guarding it from predators. Once the umberhorn trusted her enough to get on her back, Onlil took off to Nature territory, where the Wind pair was headed. She found them after several hours of calling for them.
Onlil regards the Wind pair as her half-charge, a way to express thanks for their unknowing aid in her quest. Despite that, though, she treats them with the same cold and sometimes aggressive front as every other dragon. Her and Contro spend most of their time guarding the clan's land. Aside from that, she tries to reign in Contro's instinct to fight the fungalhoof qiriq. Though the training has helped, she keeps the two separated as often as she can.

Onlil is by no means a fast dragon. For a guardian, at least. Her size and stride make up for speed against most smaller beasts. Her arm swings are dodgeable, her tail less so, and her straightforwardness makes her easy to out-think. If her punches make contact, it is sure to leave a huge bruise on bigger creatures and a fatal wound on others.
Contro mainly tries to stab opponents with her horn, rendering them less mobile and easier for Onlil to hit.
