Biography
Exodus has always led a solitary existence. They have never once had a similar dragon cross paths with them, and almost all dragons of Sorneith go without so much as glancing at them. This is not the result of magic, or a trick of the light, nor is it a curse, or any deity’s will. It is simply a matter of existence. Exodus is only seen by dragons who are on the doorstep of death.
What they do with those who see them is a mystery. With no one to see them and fewer still to speak of the tale, the truth is anyone’s guess. Some say that they only serve as a guide to ease the travel of one’s soul from Soneith to wherever they may be going. Other say that they devour the souls of those they come across. More still insist that only the righteous dragons are spared gruesome deaths at their hands. Whatever the truth is, most are very wary of meeting this being.
Perhaps Exodus’ life was not always like this. Indeed, it took many seasons for them to even recall a name to call their own. Their last memory is one of ice and cold. Loneliness as bitter as the winds. Their claws could hardly move, nonetheless feel anything. They even had to wonder, if they still had claws at all. Snowflakes and flurries whirled above, but there was something else. There were eyes on them…
That is where the memory ended, and try as one may - there simply was no bringing back anymore of the shard of their past. Exodus has long dropped any hope of remembering or returning to whatever they once were, if it were ever even more than a dream to begin with. That could have been it. A dream, some wild fantasy conjured up to serve as a connection to the land that would not acknowledge their own existence.
It is said that Exodus has never spoken a word. They rely on body language and the few who have seen them claim that their thoughts and mind were taken into Exodus’ claws. It was not harsh nor malevolent (in most cases, the stories are truly endless), but rather a hold onto the world. Theoretically, most muse that Exodus could easily push them away from the world just as quickly…
The stories are unending; the truth is frozen in time.
