Elin is among the youngest hatchlings born of Howl and Sophie’s relationship. She was a bright and loving hatchling from the moment she cracked the shell of her egg and tumbled into Sornieth’s embrace. Elin was welcomed into the Sunbeam Ruins in the town of Lyris– above a quaint flower shop owned by her parents alongside her clutch mates and a few older siblings that stuck around to aid their parents. Elin was always happy to help with the shop, fascinated by flowers and practically glued to the side of her father, Howl. She thought her life was perfect for a time, and had settled quickly on the idea of living in Lyris forever with her parents. |

But her world was shattered when she heard her parents fight for the first time. It wasn't bad, but hurtful words were said by an overwhelmed Sophie, and Howl left to cool off and to let Sophie calm down. They had put the hatchlings to bed hours before, and must have assumed the three to be asleep– but the always energetic little Elin had been awake. It messed with her perception of her parents, hearing them argue– and over the next few days everything crumbled. Her older siblings shared stories of their parents’ tense arranged marriage and how they used to fight like that more in the past. So, before she could even fully fledge, Elin left home– leaving the Sunbeam Ruins and beginning to explore Sornieth on her own. She met many dragons, but let none close to her heart in concern she'd fight with them like she saw her parents fight as a child. Somehow, she ended up traveling with the Malyxe– watching them share their art and sell their work across the Windswept Plateau. When one of the artists offered her a place in the clan, she accepted and followed them to their home– the mysterious pocket realm of Uniryxe. She has been here for many moons now, struggling to adjust without her family– refusing to make any friends. She believes love is dead, and doesn't dare change her mind. |
