Biography

The young dragon was born to a nest with two siblings, each hatchling unaware of the faint power flickering to life inside them. Their nest rested deep in the lightless roots of the Behemoth, and they felt infinitely small and alone.. But before darkness could overwhelm them, a hooded figure appeared and lead them to the surface world. Once they had seen the sky and tasted open air, the figure spoke, "Tread with wisdom, hatchlings, for the world can be cold and cruel. May you find your truth in the lands beyond."  Shakti was the most eager, and lead her siblings out of the shadows of the roots. Bright and hungry eyes took in the world around her, when all of a sudden, an incredible roar sounded through the canopy and rattled through their bones. A flame ignited in Shakti, and she told her siblings she would investigate. When she saw their hesitation, the choice was clear, and the pearlcatchers were left to their inaction. It was a long run through the forest, but the obelisk never doubted she would conquer whatever was ahead of her. Even as smoke began to creep through the leaves and cinders hung in the air, she was undaunted-- And soon rewarded. "My kin," a towering obelisk spoke from the fire, his voice deep and billowing as though smoke itself, "You have done well to find me. I will name you in my honor, and you will know the magic that runs through your veins." |
