Biography

Thanen is a geologist with a specialty in the floating islands of the Hoverview Vale. He helps make sure that new construction projects are not too heavy for the islands or disruptive to the magic forces keeping them afloat. The middle-aged Dusthide is talkative, yet keeps his own counsel; has many acquaintances, but few true friends. Those who do know him well say that he is surprisingly gentle and thoughtful. Aside from his wife, he is friends with Deryn and Larkan. Thanen is also one of the few dragons on good terms with Velare. He often works closely with Gleam and Catis, but does not consider them close friends.

Thanen is the mate of Lily.
