Nadir has a lot of magic, often too much that she can not control. As a Necromancer, she is powerful, able to create the most vicious of plagues that travels through the neurons and slows the body to a creeping crawl. Despite this, she is able to call it back quicker than a snowflake melts on an exposed piece of skin. However, there is more than just their necromantic powers that flows through their body. Nadir's innate magic, the stuff that makes them who they are, is unstable. Similar to a slowly melting glacier that reveals more and more before freezing over during the cold night, she has no control over what that magic does. It provides a great amount of power, and is likely partially what gives her Necromancer abilities the kick that they have, but the magic also tends to be volatile. Thankfully, with the help of their mate, they are able to somewhat focus it, and allow its chaotic nature to act as a divine path for the Plaguebringer to speak through. After a particularly nasty outburst of magic during an odd celestial event, both Nadir and their mate Mychial found themselves in possession of a deck of cards that radiated magic unknown to either of them. However, the two of them understood the signs that Mother was sending their way- they were to be heralds of a generation that would bring change to the world, both good and bad, to reshape the lands and allow for a new slate to start more growth and tests of strength. The hatchlings that would be born of their union would be messengers for the Plaguebringer, blessed and cursed to change entire lives with the symbol they would inherit. |
