Biography

Sakura Moss
Roseate
Wellspring Jewel
All faeries are frivolous, but the Spring Court is the most frivolous of them all. Playful and capricious, they celebrate the growth and energy of their season and eagerly welcome those who respect it. Be warned, though: it is just as easy to fall out of favor with this Court as it is to gain it. The Spring Court is most well known for granting questing dragons new beginnings, but those beginnings may not always be how they imagined...

__Roseate really loves her pond, okay?

__Born in the shape of a guardian, her mortal parents assumed that the unassuming puddle was, for whatever reason, her Charge, but she always knew that somehow wasn't quite right. All the same, she used the great size and strong claws she'd been given to clear mud and silt from the spring that fed it, to dig away the banks for greater size, to carefully place stones and relocate trees- slowly but surely, with her diligent care, what had been little more than a large swampy puddle became more akin to a tiny lake, crystal clear waters teeming with life and surrounded by flourishing greenery.

__It was nearer the end of her work that she began to suspect she may not be an average dragon at all- the silt and stones shouldn't have moved aside quite so easily for someone without an Earth affinity- nor was she Nature, and yet the water lilies and wildflowers bloomed merrily regardless of season or weather.

__As the land and life around her grew more and more cooperative to her whims, she set out for answers- her parents knew little, but she was able to trace relations and ancestries just far enough to find her way to the courts at last.

__Answers about her nature in hand, she returned to her pond to reflect on what she'd learned, and contemplate the future. Though she wouldn't abandon the home she'd lovingly carved out for herself, she was equally unable to turn away from the people and culture she hadn't known she had.

__Some things she found herself less attached to than her home however- after all, she wasn't actually a guardian anyways, so why not choose a more convenient shape? Though useful for landscaping, her great size had long since stopped being convenient- she could barely swim in the water she loved so, and often she wound up needing to reposition boulders and straighten trees after knocking into them. After a few weeks of careful research and a variety of scrolls, the pond felt much roomier in her diminutive new form, snakelike and jewel-toned.

__In the time since her return to court, her power has grown to be profoundly impressive ...within her single square kilometer only. Outside of her little oasis and its immediate surroundings, her strength is middling at best, but at home there exists very little that hasn't become an extension of her will.

__During spring, at the height of her lineage's strength, her pond exists beyond the veil, and she revels with the rest of the fae. For the remainder of the year, it sits in its original place in Sornieth, and she instead holds court with the frogs and fish, always happy to entertain the petitions of visiting dragons.

__As long as they treat her pond with due respect, that is.
