The world is full of simple truths, so mundane that they are hardly worth mentioning. There is one Morgana is keen to be kept unspoken: She was never meant to lead.

She was never supposed to hold influence or power over any but the spirits she coaxes with songs and hollow promises. The previous Matriarch had gone to great lengths to keep it so.

But well, she's gone now and Morgana remains. Tartarus, though a hollow husk of its previous power, remains and there is no one else around who can do what she does. Raising the dead is her specialty after all, she would be cruel if she refused to weave her talents for those now under her wing. There are those that disagree, of course, like the painfully uptight Lleufer, but she's just selfish and wants to command all on her own. And Absol? Oh please, he speaks prettily of cryptic comings but what has he truly done for them?

She will see them rise again, but first they need to agree that she's the one in charge here.
