-Deep in the woods surrounding the Starwood Strand, there stands a shrine that was once long abandoned, as the people forwent worship of the god it was once dedicated to. The small temple-like structure was home to nothing but wild animals who do not know of gods or spirits, and flora that would grow in defiance of any force trying to control it anyway. Kept closed off from most of the world beneath the thick canopy of silvery trees and the glittering expanse of waters that surrounded it. But then, something, which moved and spoke like the dragons the land once remembered, arrived at its shore once more. The beasts words of adoration towards the waters and the land were shallow, but they were something new. Something... promising. It allowed him to build walkways to the shrine and make his home. And with time, the dragons returned, following him as their guide. The land did not know what to make of this turn of events. It had become accustomed to peace. However, the new priest offered it something none before had; food. So, it decided not just to make peace with his presence, but to act in their collective interest of filling their stomachs. They have worked together ever since. ... Or at least, that's how the story goes amongst some.
-The nature of Anaster's shrine isn't something well known amongst the towns people. They've spoken for years, before he even arrived, of the possibility that something was haunting the waters which surrounded it and claimed that was why no one had ever reclaimed the shrine. They say that some have seen it moving as if it had a mind of its own, that it has attacked any before who tried to raid the abandoned grounds or disturb it. Dragging them back down beneath the waves, where they'd pass out and wake back up on the shores hours later. However, this kind of activity has never been documented sufficiently enough to warrant containment from SAR, according to their reports. So no one can really say if the water spirit protecting the shrine exists in only old stories and superstition or not. Anaster sometimes likes to humour the stories, though he's not very creative in his telling. Just claims in jest that the guardian spirit, named Yoshino by a good friend of his, is really a kindly being who only prevents those with ill intentions from entering the shrine but lets the faithful and good pass unimpeded. And that's why SAR hasn't been able to contain it yet! Haha!
