Outside the security of the ruined cathedral, the lands of the Hewn City lie unforgiving. But among the decrepit structures that threaten to crush those below it at any moment, there are those who relish in the uncertainty. While they are welcomed visitors of the cathedral, these dragons choose to forge their own paths.
Casimir follows a controversial practice of healing supposedly originating from the Shadowbinder. The practice is based on embracing one's pain and overcoming weakness through endurance. He first came from the Tangled Wood to Lanternlea Port searching for forgotten texts, but quickly found himself shunned and scorned. In the wilds of the Hewn City, he has found a unique opportunity to practice in peace while searching areas no other would dare to go. The uncertainty and danger of the Hewn City only strengthens Casimir's resolve. With each day gone hungry or night of uneasy sleep, he feels himself grow stronger and closer to unearthing forgotten secrets. After all, pain is the price of salvation.
