Biography
Concepts for Paradox:
PARADOX DRONES
All: Black/Black/Obsidian | Underbelly OR Basic
Modern: Wasp/Jester
Aether: Clown OR Metallic/Thread OR Alloy
Auraboa: Giraffe OR Metallic/Jester
Banescale: Clown OR Metallic OR Marble/Paisley OR Alloy OR Mottle
Gaoler: Wasp/Streak
A standard drone of Paradox. They inherit their strange patterns from her, whether naturally born or assimilated. Their markings, unfortunately, paint a huge target on their back.
PARADOX EMPERORS
Black/Black/Any (preferring to match element) | Wasp/Jester/Any | Imperial | Primal | Level 20+
Oh no.
PARADOX APOSTLES
Black/Black/Any (preferring to match element) | Wasp or Slime or Tide preferred/Jester or Sludge or Foam preferred/Any | Imperial
A failed attempt at an Emperor, whether that be a true Emperor or a mimicking Praetorian. They may or may not have multiple heads or any abilities of Emperors. As they act very erratic and often lack connection to their creator, Paradox will destroy these entities on sight simply to prevent them from drawing attention to her schemes.
PARADOX SKYSMITES
Black/Dust preferred/Lead to Obsidian | Clown OR Metallic OR Marble/Tear/Plumage
Banescales have proven troublesome for inquisitive Hives, and the Skysmites even moreso. Their plumage makes it especially difficult to form chitinous armor for the newly created drones, and their distinct markings are stubborn even after assimilation.
Worse, the Skysmites' more magical forms mean that even when they are fully assimilated, a Skysmite drone is a little erratic at best. The upside is that a Skysmite's tougher Hivemind body, combined with their magic, makes them formidable enemies for dragonkind. And Paradox herself is not unfamiliar with a magical attunement..
ACID DRONES
Black/Moon/Green to Chartreuse | Wasp/Flair OR Jester/Capsule
These drones have not assimilation fluid, not building tar, but an entire hollow gut of potent acid within them. These usually manifest as small dragons such as Spirals, but have occasionally appeared in larger breeds. Their acid is not to be messed around with.
ANGELS OF DEATH
Eldritch/Moon/Green to Chartreuse | Harlequin OR Wasp/Jester OR Myrid/Wish | Pearlcatcher
Mockeries of an enemy of Paradox, these Pearlcatchers have magic focus and often their pearls are imbued with magic as well. As contrary to a standard Hive drone, Faceted eyes are the worst for Angels of Death while Primal and Glowing are the best.
PARADOX DEFECTIVES
Orca/Orca/White | Wasp/Jester/Underbelly OR Basic
Paradox is not immune to defective drones with inverted colors. They are usually cast out to fend for themselves if their connection to her is not intact. Otherwise, they are used to help communicate with dragons
PARADOX STRANGES
X/X/Obsidian or X | Wasp/Jester/Any
Rarely, Paradox's drones may assimilate into a different color. This usually occurs during a slightly awry assimilation. Strange Drones are considered very useful by Paradox, as they have an easier time concealing themselves from both the Sornieth natives and Hivekind.
PARADOX MIMICS
Bloodmoon: Obsidian/Obsidian/Obsidian | Wasp/Jester/Underbelly or Basic
New Moon: Eldritch/Eldritch/Obsidian | Wasp/Jester/Stained or Soap
Modified Strange Paradoxes with colors close to that of the Hivemind. These are used to infiltrate Hivekind, and can be commanded by other Consciousnesses. However, Paradox has trouble communicating with them without reveal itself, so these drones often wind up doing manual labor within her own lair.
