Biography
Chosen Mate: None
Good Point: Confident
Bad Point: Prideful
Role: Necroservus
Necromantic Symbol(s): Tools
General Job: Familiar acquisition for Mayu and her allies.
Society affiliation: The Rule of Three
Child of Lamb and Kallamar, spawn of a great necromancer and a wraith. That is what Moth was and still is. Naturally drawn to the trials due to his lineage, the young once-guardian made a trek to the center of Plague territory with the confidence he would succeed. Partway along the route, he acquired several things - the name he has now, a scroll to become a fae, and an interest in bugs as more than just food.
When he arrived, Moth gave a look to his fellow trialgoers and the necromancers and necroservi watching. He would be fine. He would succeed. He was capable.
And certainly, the fae was able to do quite a bit. The first trial was passed without issue, and the second took a while but he managed that. It was all going well! But the third trial... no matter what he did, he couldn't call infection back. Moth tried, and tried, and tried... but nothing. Necroservus. He was a necroservus, not a true necromancer. It was frustrating.
Many of the necromancers treated him as lesser. Some that wanted him didn't want to give him the respect he desired. Moth wouldn't have it. He left them behind, wandering the wasteland and honing his skills. But eventually, someone did catch his attention. A necromancer, Mayu, who saw him in the mire.
He was acquiring his familiar at the time, and the way he did it impressed her.
The mirror made a request. Join her, help her and her ever-growing entourage. His talents would be respected and valued and he would have a home and place to stay. None of the necromancers associating with her would be allowed to treat him as lesser, if they even considered it in the first place.
Moth thought about it... and eventually agreed to this. But he made it clear on that day that if anything changed, if her end of the bargain was broken, he would leave in an instant.
So far, things have been going well for him.
Moth is confident, strong-willed, and no-nonsense. He has a deep sense of pride, one that hs been with him since he was able to leave home. Though his youngest days were spent as a guardian, Moth quickly changed into a fae along his journey to Rotrock Rim for his trials. As a result, he's a bit more expressive than the average fae - his tone isn't completely monotone, but it still isn't truly the same as the voices of other dragons, either. One will easily see his crests to be incredibly expressive to compensate.
Prideful, Moth refuses to take any disrespect and believes he deserves to be treated with the same decency all necromancers receive. He also dislikes having his size poked at - even though he himself chose to become this small. But the biggest insult is to claim his skills as a familiar-acquirer are lacking. Moth's pride is not to ever be underestimated.
Despite that, however, he seems to get along well enough with Mayu's entourage as a whole. While not many seem to like him, nobody seems to hate him either. Moth gets along best with the quieter individuals, such as Mourn and Alana, as Kanu and the more excitable sorts tend to get on his nerves.
