Biography

Azabelle wrote:
To be raised in a home where she was simultaneously placed on a pedestal while also being gaslit created a confused young dragon. From her days as a hatchling she told her parents she saw visions, sights beyond understanding. They always exchanged looks and explained to her that she was imagining it or that it must be a dream. She insisted. Sometimes these visions came true, happening in the real world around her just as she saw. They told her it wasn't true but ever since those conversations started they began feeding her more attention. They catered to her every whim, coddled her, feared for her if she dared leave the home for any amount of time. It was as if she were a fragile but precious thing.

Her siblings were almost ignored in contrast as all of their parent's focus landed on her. Little did she know it was because they did believe her. More than that, they were thrilled that their daughter showed such signs of a greater power in her blood. The only problem was, word couldn't get out. If it did, who knows what terrible dragons might be looking to get their claws in her.

It was almost as if fate was striving to prove them right. As the young dragon slipped away in the night to visit some friends in secret away from her parents' prying eyes, she stumbled into the path of a dark smoke-wreathed Banescale. He stirred up a conversation, coaxing her into giving away the secret she told she should keep. He believed her, luring her away with promises that she'd find more people to listen to her fascinating tales if she went along with him. So she did. As sheltered as she was, she didn't think anything of it.

She never returned home, finding herself surrounded by violence as she was tricked into captivity and forced to fight. Her gift served her well enough to keep her alive, giving her predictions as to what the other fighters would do next. Never had she been hit with so many visions so quickly. It was almost as if her gift was reacting to the adrenaline of her survival instincts. She used it, grasping onto it, desperate to avoid death. The naivety was drained from her with each and every fight.

A Member of Exalt Arena

Forced to fight in such a ring, it was fortunate she even emerged alive. Somehow, she did. Visions of a distinctly terrifying dragon haunted her before she would even be forced to show her face within the arena. This dragon's visage would later become her salvation.

Muerte, sent to gather intelligence on other clans, took an interest in her and purchased her freedom from the Exalt Arena. Addie was ushered to her new home, scarred from her traumatizing experience. Despite her visions suggesting otherwise, a part of her survivalist anxieties whispered that this might be a ruse, and she would soon find herself thrust into another ring, forced to fight for her life once more.

Just as her visions had foretold, she was rescued. Given a comfortable residence within the Plaza of the Clan, she repaid her debt by employing her gift of foresight to aid the clan. She would use her gift on other dragons with the promise of acquiring treasure for purchasing small trinkets she had come to admire. With her newfound freedom, she had the opportunity to hone her unique gift, strengthening it while it continued to evolve. Yet, some nights, she still startles awake from the traumas of the ring, haunted by dreams of the shadowed dragon she had encountered before, as if urging her to return.
