Gauden

Head of the clan's scribe guild and a beloved professor of literature and history, Gau (as he insists on being called) has never met a dragon he couldn't be kind to; any who wish to consult with him will invariably find themselves with a warm cup of tea in their paws, a cozy spot to sit in his lair, and the patient listening ear of both him and his cats. His love of books (and penchant for collecting them) is unrivaled by probably any other dragon, his lair now more resembling a library than a living space. He truly enjoys learning about a wide range of subjects, from horticulture to military strategy to ancient beastclan cultures, as well as appreciating tales of legend and myth. When the mood strikes, he likes to write poetry, much of which is dedicated to his adored mate. The breadth of his interests is reflected in his lecturing style, frequent unrelated rambling tangents being a well known staple, though this barely affects his popularity, more than making it up with his kind attention to each and every student and apprentice of his.

• Gau's love of books may be great, but it still pales next to his love for his mate, Quasar. He is very protective over his Quasi, who does like to remind him that under the right conditions, with the correct constellations, he is capable of dispatching a void wyvern with one arcane bolt, while Gau has not as much as stepped paw in the training fields. Gau will, of course, concede, knowing that if Quasi's own anxious thoughts are what needs dispatching, he's the one to come to the rescue.
