She comes from a long line of seers, of those who are subject to both forseeing and succumbing to misfortune. As a water dragon, her connection to these visions is even more powerful than that of her ancestors. She sees dragons' fortunes as ripples in water; some are benign, some are... less so. Others have targetted her for her ability, sought her out, forced her to give fortunes.
And she is done being targetted.
Aomi wants nothing to do with a past that's not even hers, with a gift she never asked for, but it haunts her no matter how she changes herself. No matter where she goes, she cannot escape the visions. Could she ever be free from the curse that's wracked her bloodline?
She and her mate Ainen live in seclusion on the Shattered Plain. She's taken to weaving tapestries and journeying with Ainan to sell them in the Colonnades of Antiquity. Being around so many others can trigger her visions, but she's starting to learn where the pools of water in the Colonnades are so she can take care to avoid them. Perhaps if she avoids water as much as possible, her visions won't pester her anymore...
