Marrowbones grew up amidst the treacherous upheaval of Luminax’s path, developing a slightly unsettling fascination with dead and dying things very early on. She knows little of her own history, both parents having been orphaned as hatchlings, and it carved a hole within her that demands to be filled.

Her early interest drew her toward the Plague flight. While the Plaguebringer does not abide undeath, she admires survival. Marrowbones was determined to. She at last found a purpose in Miasma, a wandering Plague devotee whose connection with their element captivated her just as the Emperor had.

She has chosen to follow in their footsteps, devoting herself entirely to their deity in hopes that she will accept her, draping herself in clacking bones. Aside from her pale yellow eyes, the only aspect that reveals her birth element is the purification magic that she tries to deny the existence of. However, it does keep her from becoming poisoned while spending so much time in Miasma’s presence.
