Biography
The Ickers - Flicker and Wicker
Flicker and Wicker, collectively referred to as the Ickers, are an Aberration pair that works on Yucca’s Wildfire Brigade. They are a Fire / Nature hybrid, and their hybridism has split itself between the two heads; Flicker is a Fire dragon, and Wicker is a Nature dragon. This works perfectly for their work on the Wildfire Brigade; Wicker is able to sense dead and dying low-altitude plant life, and Flicker can burn it away.
The Ickers collectively serve as Yucca’s second-in-command, and nobody is more enthusiastic about the work they do than them. They’re constantly covered in soot and grime from the smoke of the fires they’re setting, and they always smell like a blazing campfire. Nothing delights them more than finding a nice patch of dry shrubs to burn, and watching it go up in flames.
In that sense, they’re quite the pyromaniacs. Luckily, being on the Wildfire Brigade gives them a safe outlet to deal with their desire to set things ablaze, so they aren’t just running around setting all of Sornieth on fire. With the Wildfire Brigade, they can be sure that the fires they’re setting are for a good cause. Not that they care about the cause of preventing more dangerous wildfires and allowing new plant growth to come in; no, not even Wicker in all their Nature magic cares about that. Genuinely, they just want to see things burn and not get into trouble for it.
“The Ickers” as a collective name does not just refer to the rhyming ending parts of their names: Flicker and Wicker. It also refers to the amount of brownish-grayish grime they’re often covered in from doing their job. It rubs off onto everything it touches, and doesn’t clean off easily; any attempts to do so simply smear it around more. Nobody particularly likes shaking hands with the Ickers, and nobody can blame them for that.
