Most dragons of Sornieth know the legends of the Shade. Of the gripping, defiling dark that stalked across the land. For most, those stories are nothing but fairy tales and folklore. Hatchling stories to keep young ones awake in the nest far past their bedtime.

Here, it's not just whispers and phantom rumors. In ruins where the Shade breached through this land, and those touched by it sought to help it spread, there is a darkness that still lingers and taints, even long after the Shade-touched were fought back and the Breach sealed away.


STILL A HEAVY WIP below

The Sepulcher is the name of ground zero, where the portal opened and the shade breached the territory here in Shadow. It is still an area rife with corruption. The portal site was entombed…and to an outsider's eye it would look like ruins, but underneath the stone ruins the vast darkness still lingers. Sunder is the last line of defense between the Sepulcher and anyone meaning to reopen it. She is also the first line of defense from anything that still leaks through. Efficient and ruthless. Both of her heads have a shared consciousness. She was an arcane egg that was brought through with some of the Shadebeasts when the portal first was opened. For the longest time her egg was thought to be dead, just a rock-hard rubble in the middle of the tomb. But long years in shadow territory and it finally hatched. She’s shade-touched, making her adept in finding and dealing with anything that would cross into her domain. She can also shift between the two elements–arcane and shadow.

Two heads, and while they both respond to Sunder, they have individual nicknames as well. Haunt for the wraith head, and Howl for the wolf head.

There are things in the dark that even the monsters hide from and nightmares scurry in their wake. A gripping horror, unfathomable... and Sunder knows it first hand. She wakes with it's touch on the very essence of her being, feels the unending hunger of it in the marrow of her bones. There isn't a night where she can close her eyes and escape the visions that haunt her of thousands of needle-sharp teeth, rent from hundreds of maws, all gaping and desperate to destroy the world.
