Nefastus is a Necroservus in service to Ossua. Having passed the Trials of Infection and Survival, but failed his Trial of Contagion, he is able to spread plague, but not cure it. He is thus considered less than a true Necromancer. He clings now to the idea that it was his destiny all along to serve as Ossua's guardian. She is his charge, and he follows her with complete loyalty and faith. Quiet and watchful, his suspicious (and nervous) eye is always on the Dreadwing clan and their visitors. Their superior martial strength, command of flame, and massive size leave him perpetually unsettled, despite Ossua's glib trust of the clan and his own enormous bulk. Ambassador she may be, but her safety is his job.

Regular patrols, watchful nights and cautious scouting are Nefastus's habit. Though he holds interest in Ossua's research, his dedication to his necromancer's well-being is far more important to him. When they are away from their shared, tunneled den, his familiar—a tough, fearless Wasteland Collector named Bonesnap—is often left behind to guard it. Bonesnap occasionally accompanies them, instead, his powerful nose an excellent guide for the sort of remains Ossua requires for her study.


Cloaks himself in rags in order to hide the shame of his failed ascension, though he'd never admit the reason.

Occasionally wears battleworn armor when subtlety is not required.

Deeply suspicious of travellers passing through the outer passages, he sometimes foregoes sleep entirely until Ossua outright orders him to rest.
