Biography
REALLY stupid and really smart in that way that overconfident kids are (even though they're not kids anymore, they're already past thirteen). Might not have a telepathic connection to their twin. Yeah- so they're super coordinated, what's it to you? It's a secret. One that YOU don't get to know. (It's- whatsitcalled- reverse psychology, one whispers to the other.)
Why are they two and why is she one? They dunno. They kinda envy her sometimes, being able to pick where to go all on her own. (Shuffle, shuffle, goes their claws, and one of them hisses that she picks the place all the time, anyway). You should ask her. Actually, you should leave her. They're all busy busy right now.
(And after they push you away with clumsy claws, they will scamper off after their sister. They will follow her into the tunnel depths of the earthmover, and they will feast on her hunt and pour the blood into long-unused power coils. The two of them will link the power to the old old systems of the room around them, and they will explore what little still functions.)
(One day, the two of them will find their calling among the switches of the Tempest Spire. It will be much less hands-on than they are used to, but they will realize how far they can automate and optimize, and their modifications will become standard for centuries to come.)
(But that is neither here nor there. What matters in the moment is their sister, laughing, and the lights of the room and the terminal that dances under their claws.)
