One stormy night, a lone nocturne named Caro crashed in the mountains with an injured wing. He may have died that night had an earnest young Wildclaw not found him and nursed him back to health, winning his heart in the process. When Caro was healthy and strong again, he was surprised to find that the dragon who had rescued him was none other than Merine, the “princess” of her clan. The two fell in love and soon had a daughter together.

Caro is a ruggedly handsome dragon, and though he's tough and strong, he's not the type to show off for the sake of vanity. He's gruff and no-nonsense, and has plenty of stories and tall tales from his time navigating stormy weather, soaring through tempests, and braving churning seas. Most of the dragons in Pineseed's clan are fond of him, though some still see him as a roguish drifter with no real place among them. He doesn't let that bother him. Let others think whatever they like, as long as they don't slow him down.

Unlike the native Earth dragons, who prefer to stay in one place, Caro still likes to go roaming around the world for months at a time, a midnight rambler at heart. However, now that he has Merine and his daughter, he always happily returns to them as soon as his wanderlust is satisfied.
