Verin

Verin seemed to glow with energy. He was always the life of the party and always a cheerful face to talk to. He was also, however, a bit of a player. He didn't know it but one of his sons had become incredibly famous before experiencing a massive downfall. His son hit rock bottom, doing so without any support from his parents. He had no idea because he didn't know his children, never speaking to their mothers after leaving her with eggs to care for. But he was a good guy, or at leas that was what everybody said.

Almost as if it were karma, he ended up in the same exact place that his son did. His cheerful and charming personality lead him to parties and allowed him to do what he did best. Scam others. He adored how easy it was to take treasure off of the hands of the ignorant and he used his handsome face and people skills to do so. His smooth talking earned him tons of money for very little work. At one party in particular he met a wealthy man who ran a fighting ring and started his usual scheme. However, he talked himself right into a trap as he was trying to fool somebody far more intelligent than he was.

Verin awoke alone and afraid in the back rooms of the arena, listening to the horrifying sounds of combat and bloodshed. He'd never been in a fight, always fleeing at the first sign of violence. Now he had no choice...
