Nanichi

Like all Spirals, Nanichi is extraordinarily energetic, and she has a variety of ways to burn that energy. Due to the multiple trains of thought her mind can sustain, she has a unique ability among the clan, and possibly the flight. She can cast multiple spells at the same time, resulting in frightening battle skills.

This multitasking magic is what lead her to help out Drali. Because she's preforming multiple spells at the same time, her magical stores are drained much faster. This has led her to find less energy hungry spell alternatives and exploring the realm of battle runes, which is why she was able to help the little Fae. She views Drali as a cross between a younger sibling and a niece.

Some of the several other ways she distracts herself include winding her way through the tunnels and caves of the clan home, and creating new tunnels in the area allocated for Spiral use. She also composes poetry, though this is more of an acquired taste. Most dragons find her writing to be sharp and staccato.

Highly intelligent, Nanichi spends a great deal of her time interacting with others of the clan, though she stays far away from Keldar, who outranks her, and has made his opinion of her company quite clear. She is generally good-natured, and quite hard to rile up, as her mind usually takes her off on a tangent before she can react to an insult. She adores hatchlings, but is really, really awkward with non-spiral ones.

Meeting her mate, Haniel, was a complete accident. She was occupied with several new spell plans, an ongoing discussion with Drali and a complicated runic array when she ran into a wall of feathers. Nanichi was delighted to find that the interesting, handsome Coatl was going to be staying for a while. She was even more delighted to find that he didn't mind her constant stream of words, nor her falling asleep buried in his plumage.

To this day, she suspects her leader Rustmoon of matchmaking when he paired her up with Haniel. The Guardian was one of the few not at all surprised by the announcement of a clutch. She isn't angered by it, not at all, because it gave her a mate and hatchlings who she adores. Nanichi is perceptive, and hears a lot more than dragons think when she talks. Aufse's obvious interest in her mate makes her somewhat uneasy. The other dragon is, after all, a Coatl with a similar past to Haniel's, and widely sought after by some male and some females of the clan. Then she goes home to a slightly lilting voice that says "I love you" and allows all her fears to wash away.

Her familiar SunsGuard is something of an odd choice as a Light-based familiar. His mind moves much more slowly and is almost ponderous in its reactions, but when his anger is roused it takes a great deal of time to cool. SunsGuard tends towards the stoic side, and does't mind being used as a perch for Nanichi.
