There was a recurring back-and-forth between Zorya and Horus: Zorya would tell him about the origins of the stars, and how it's said that the great heroes of their forebears would join the night sky upon their death, where their memory would endure. Horus would take off with a great beat of his wings, performing feats of acrobatics that few dragons could match. “What does this star represent?” he would call down to Zorya below. “The greatest oaf known to dragonkind,” she would joke. Despite her affectionate teasing, Zorya knew as well as anyone else that Horus had a certain genius unto himself. As the head of patrols and tactics, Horus's knack for strategies were almost as unrivaled as his flying skills. Whether it's at the war table or in the heat of battle, Horus can think surprisingly quickly on his feet. Though he possesses a tactician's cunning, he's not a dragon known for his artifice or trickery: rather, Horus is beholden to his own powerful sense of honor, occasionally to a fault. Also to the occasional fault is his garrulous tendencies. Horus can talk your ear off if you let him, which is perhaps why he and Zorya work so well together as mates—he's chatty enough for the both of them. You can often hear his evening patrols before you see it, as their songs, jokes, and laughter carry far over the hush of twilight. He seems to prefer airborne patrols, and if you find yourself standing under a pack of dragons flying far overhead, silhouetted by the evening sun, Horus can often be found taking the front, told apart by his great, looping maneuvers. Though others in his clan may think the warrior can be a bit too conspicuous in his patrols, his friends and loved ones would say that Horus embodies everything you could want in a protector: a fierce guardian, a bold strategist, and a warm friend.
