Luckily, his trusty friend[/self-assigned bodyguard/weirdo who follows him around everywhere but keeps saving his life so i guess she can stay] Sum protects him on his travels! And there's no way she could be part of the curse, right? Oh well, whatever makes his job safer I guess.
