There are few dragons that would deny Symphonies dazzling beauty. When her parents first laid eyes on her they knew they had a truly special child. It was confirmed when she sang her first song and paralyzed half the clan. Perhaps she was too special, they'd say. Don't let her sing to you, they'd warn. So she fell into silence. She sang when she was alone. In the woods, at night, anywhere she could. Her voice rang in the emptiness like a thousand voices. Like an entire concert of dragons were harmonizing and producing the most beautiful symphonies in existence. But it was just her, the dragon that could speak in a thousand voices. She cultivated her skill, and ampliphied it with magic. Her songs of discord could paralyze another dragon. Her dissonant chords made it appear as though she were two dragons. As she experimented, her skill in battle grew. It wasn't until she met Orchestra that she left her clan. He saw her voice for what it was: a talent, not a cruel gift to be hidden. He told her he could see her path before him like a map, and that it would lead her to great things. She mesmerized him and he stole her heart. They set out to find a new home, together. Almost immediatly Symphony new Orchestra had more than a talent for predicting fights. She could see it in his eyes in the way only a mage could: a deep and subconcious magical element. As he watched and interpretted movement, adapted and countered it, she knew he was twisting fate just as much as she. So she taught him how to be better. Harmonizing with him was like bliss. Their voices together, along with his unknown to him magical ability to bend the will of others and her ability to consciously do it, made them unstoppable. Their fights always went their way, and they earned a name for themselves. When they were approached by The Radiant Symphony was hesitant at first. A clan meant a clan leader, and a leader meant someone to silence her. But Orchestra assured her, their path was with them. She had no reason to doubt him, and so they settled. At the first sign of trouble, she'd whisper into his ear at night before they began their song, we're leaving. So far there has been no trouble. (Text: Othelia) |
