Kindness

This child's front half is more exposed than the others. Bright green fern fronds adorn it all over, except along its chest, and the arm holding the frying pan.

It's cooking pancakes over an open fire, and the plants have retreated from the areas of its body nearest the flames. The singed state of its apron indicates this might be a reasonable precaution.

The stack of cooling pancakes on a nearby plate is so tall, it's in danger of toppling over. Still, the child adds another, then pours fresh batter into the hot pan.

The pancakes are strangely perfect. The child cooks both sides for the exact same amount of time, flipping effortlessly. It isn't even looking at what it's doing, its neck twisted over its shoulder to maintain constant eye contact with you.
