Battle Instructor / Earth WarriorDust Devils • "she/her"
A grey and tan Wildclaw is barking instructions to a few warriors out on the training fields. She seems to be holding some sort of fighting class right now.
Cross is a battle instructor who holds weekly fighting classes and small combat events in the clan. She is a renown Earth warrior and is skilled in various types of weapons. She's dedicated to helping all new warriors find their ideal weapons and fighting style. Her impressive weapons collection is always on display in the armory for others to borrow from.
She is a rough and toughened warrior with a loud, commanding voice where needed. Her voice can even compete with Kaminari's workplace shouting. She's well-respected among other warriors and strict yet patient with her students. While she doesn't tolerate fooling around, she will also sit down with young warriors and listen to them. She understands that not every dragon learns the same way, so she tries to figure out what works best for each student instead of being frustrated with them.
Cross is missing her left eye but has never stated how she lost it. Most dragons assume she must've lost it in combat.
Notably, Cross is often referred to with masculine titles such as "sir." She is still addressed as "Miss Cross" outside of work, but her battle spirit tends to scare away any suitable bachelors. Aside from warriors like Pyre, there are few who can match her fighting spirit. She doesn't seem concerned with finding a date, though. That's the least of her priorities.
Cross has the rare nickname of "Mama Cross", because she was the one who brought Namibi to the clan. Namibi might as well be her kid, with all the money she spends on the hatchling and how much the little Snapper takes after her. She drops by the nursery every morning before heading out to work just to see her.
